Some debate about this play. Afshin was adament, that making the bar point is clearly bestand anything else is a mistake. Having the chance to jump the 5-prime seems to be more important. |

There was much less discussion about this play between Ira and John. John suggested to slot the 3-point instead of moving up from the 8-point. That is indeed better, but the best play by far was not even considered. Hitting twice and making the 1-point puts two checkers out of play. On the up-side it leaves 1s and 2s two be played with the back men and everything else makes another home board point. In addition it buys some much needed time for Green. Overall this is a huge blunder! |
