Good choice Marty! I would not have hit, but the differences are rather small. It is hard to sit there at double match point and wait for something good to happen. It is very tempting to hit, and send at least one checker back. On the other hand White is almost certain to hit back and has the much stronger home board. If gammons were of any relevance the hitting play would be a huge blunder, but as it stands it is the best play!
