I have to admit, I never seriously considered the best play! My decision was between #2 and #3 and I decided to go for #3, even though it leaves more hits, because I thought it would be the easiest to clean up. That may very well be, but it seems I should have worried more about what happens, if I get hit. If I bring all other men in, I will be in reasonable shape, even if hit, unless White brings all checkers around without me entering or closes his board. Also notice how skillfully I raised the gammon chances - especially my opponent's! |
