Good double. Ira and John took and I dropped and dropped the cube for Marty too (sorry Marty!). That is a huge blunder! My argument was somewhat like this: Ther are 17 rolls, where White hits on the the 5-point and 2, where he hits on the 8-point. In all of these cases the game is as good as over with many gammon wins for White. In all other cases Green is probably a slight favorite, but that is not enough for a take. In reality it seems the game is far from over, even if White hits, since Green may hit back or anchor on the 3-point or at the very list get a 1-point game with probably suspect timing. If White does not hit and Green completes the 5-prime he is probably a bigger favorite than I had thought. |
