Leela, from Doctor Who

OK, I'm really proud of this one. The action figure is one of the CY Girls. They're wonderfully poseable, and stand up on their own pretty well. I made her "leathers" from a *very* thin fabric from the upholstery section. I added darts to show off her curves, then hand sewed red thread along those lines as in the original costume, which you can see at the Doctor Who Image Archive here. If you look closely, I even interspersed red threads with the lighter threads in the top row on her loincloth. There also are red ties at the top of the boots I made for her. I created her necklace using beads taken from two of the necklaces from Mattel's Blaine doll.
