Doctor Who and Historical Clothing for action figures and dolls: Medieval, Renaissance, Victorian, Western, and more
Three Reasons Why This Page Is Here
1. Sewing and setting up dioramas is my way of de-stressing from writing my dissertation to get my PhD. It's creative work with tangible results that gets me away from the computer when I get writer's block.
2. After years of creating costumes that I could only wear for a day or two at sci-fi conventions, it's nice to be able to display outfits year-round.
3. I've loved the British science fiction TV program Doctor Who since I was a kid. When I stumbled across customized Doctor Who figures and accessories on the web, I found the perfect match for my new 1:6 scale hobby. I've sewn and kitbashed costumes and dioramas inspired by Doctor Who TV shows, BBC Books, and Big Finish audios. I'm even starting to make a few easy monsters now. I've also met other fans on-line, and gotten to share the joys of creating our own toys for a show that's finally coming back to TV! Woo hoo!
