Doctor Who: 3rd Doctor (Jon Pertwee)

I finished an outfit for the 3rd Doctor, but the custom head sculpt isn't painted yet. I'll update this page when that happens. Until then, enjoy the outfit, and a quick pic Rick sent me of the unpainted head. Consider this a preview of coming attractions.

The frog closures on the jacket really button and unbutton, as you can see in the first and second pictures. I sewed black elastic cord into the frog pattern. I made the button portion of the closures from 1/4 inch bits of toothpick painted black. I tied black thread around them, then sewed them to the elastic cord.

The bead "buttons" on the shirt are sewn on so the "buttoned" ones are on the right and the "unbuttoned" ones are on the left. There are ruffles on the shirt cuffs, and along the shirt front.
