My name is Craig Newswanger
I live in Austin, Texas with my lovely wife Sally. I work for a really interesting holography company here in Austin called Zebra Imaging. (www.zebraimaging.com)
I was re-inspired to get back into Tesla coils when I visited the Griffith planetarium in Los Angeles, where I was originally introduced to the large Tesla coil there. I was about 5 years old on my dad's shoulders. As I recall, it was a mixture of terror and wonder that got to me that day. I still have the wonder and I am very careful.
I'd like to dedicate this site to my father, Don Newswanger. He is certainly the reason for my early interest in enginneering, photography, electronics and computer science and a lot of other things. Thanks to my mom as well for putting up with all the weird things we have done over the years...like that burnt spot on the front walk. I love you both.
