Previous bands unclude the rockabilly and honky tonk country of Teddy & The Talltops and the neo-lounge sleaze of The Naughty Ones, the recording-only cheating song combo of The Wandering Eyes and the 70's countrypolitan influenced Tearjoint Troubadors.

Played harmonica and sang with Mark Pollock & The Midnighters, a Dallas-based blues band (late 70's-early 80's) Performed on the bill with acts such as Albert Collins, James Cotton, Doctor Ross (The Harmonica Boss), Alex Moore, Gatemouth Brown and James Brown. Played regularly at Fort Worth's legendary New Bluebird Lounge.

Formed the rockabilly band, Teddy & The Talltops with original members Jim (Rev. Horton Heat) Heath, Phil (Homer Henderson) Bennison and Jas Stephens in 1983. Played numerous shows backing the legends of the Dallas Rockabilly scene including Sid & Billy King, Groovey Joe Poovey, Gene Summers, Mac Curtis and Johnny Carroll.
After relocating in Austin, dug deeper into honky tonk country and was a key figure in the Austin country music scene of the late 80's and 90's.

Founder of the twice - annual Elvis Tribute seen at Austin's Continental Club and The Broken Spoke, since 1986 starring Ted Roddy and a star-studded cast of Austin music veteran's reverent and soulful production of The King's musical legacy. Best of Austin award 2003!

Toured the USA, Scandinavia and Europe with The Talltops,Tearjoint Troubadors and The Texas Blues Harp Battle.

Appeared as special agent Travis Byrd in the Webb Wilder drive-in classic — Horror Hayride.
