Spiral Winds Grove's Classes

Spiral Winds Grove will begin a new series of classes in mid 2007, exact date TBD.  These classes are designed for Seekers at all levels of training in Wicca, and previous knowledge of Wicca is not a prerequisite to enrollment in these classes.  These classes are intended as part of an Initiation-track course leading to the possibility of Dedication and Initiation into the Coven should the Seeker so desire.  Our classes are not exactly "Wicca 101," but rather "Wicca the way we do it." Concepts from basic introductory Wicca to advanced philosophical doctrines will be addressed.  The intent is to deliver to the student the set of symbols and core belief structures necessary to allow the student to participate synergistically and productively in Spiral Winds' rituals.  The classes will also allow the student to explore our version and vision of Wicca, and to evaluate whether they wish to continue studying with us at the conclusion of the class series.  Finally, the classes will lay the seeds of group mind between students and the present members of the Coven, which is important to magickal workings in the Coven environment.
These classes will give the Seeker a general knowledge of the philosophy and praxis of Spiral Winds' version of Wicca.  We are an eclectic tradition emphasizing a mystical approach to the Craft, and this is reflected in our class structure.  Topics which will be covered include Sacred Geometry, the Wheel of the Year, Wiccan theology/thealogy, myth analysis, shielding techniques, basic shamanism, divination, ritual structure, elemental correspondences and interactions with the elementals, the nature of the Circle and of ritual tools, divination, Kabbala and Hermetics, Wiccan ethics, and several others.  At the conclusion of the classes, the Seeker is given the opportunity to Dedicate to the Grove, if they so wish.  However, there is no obligation for the student to continue studying with Spiral Winds at the conclusion of the classes.  The classes are free of charge, although a small fee will be collected to cover Xeroxing fees only.
Students who are interested in attending these classes should contact Lady Selene for more information and to arrange an interview.
