* Denotes board member serving on the Architectural Control Committee

Welcome to the website for Woods VI Homeowner's Association!  The purpose of this site is to help our homeowners keep current with issues and activities related to our HOA subdivision.

Recently, a letter was sent to each homeowner introducing the new board members.  In this letter, we outlined some of the outstanding issues and questions specific to Woods VI.

1) One of the first mandates for the board was to increase communication with the HOA members.  This website is a first step in keeping everyone informed of current issues and events.  In addition, we are creating a voluntary "Email reflector" for HOA members to exchange information relevant to Woods VI.

For those individuals who do not have regular access to email or the Internet, printed copies can be made available upon request.

2) We are working with Brushy Creek MUD to assist us in improving our entrance area on Cornerwood.  We are looking at the possibility of planting trees on the West side of the street.

3) We are planning the next annual homeowner's meeting which will include elections of new board members in September of this year.  We felt that September would be a better time for homeowners to attend a meeting since it is right after summer and prior to the holidays.  With that being said, this will be a very short year and all of you should start thinking about the September meeting and new elections.

4) We are looking at recognizing a Yard-Of-The-Month with a yard sign, similar to what other associations do.  This will begin in the month of June, so look for the Yard-Of-The-Month!

It would be great to see increased involvement from our homeowners this year, so if you would like to participate in any of the areas listed above, please let us know.  Also if you have any suggestions for things you would like to see done this year, please let us know.

We all have significant investment in our property and homes.  We all want to see our investments increase versus decrease.  With that being said it is important to follow our association guidelines and restrictions.  Over the last couple of years there are several restrictions that many of us have not followed such as trash cans in visible site, lawn maintenance regarding weeds and upkeep, etc.  We are all individually accountable for following these association guidelines and restrictions to ensure our neighborhood looks great.  So for those of you not following these guidelines, please start.  The board of directors has a responsibility to ensure that as a communicate we adhere to the guidelines and restrictions. Through the management company we will be taking action on homeowners who choose to ignore the guidelines and restrictions.  As a group this is our community and as a group we can determine what the guidelines and restrictions are.  The time to discuss changes, deletions, or additions to our guidelines and restrictions is at our annual board meeting in September where as a group the majority will vote.

In closing, I want to say again let's increase communication and involvement.  Don't hesitate to contact any of the board members listed above if needed and let's have a great year!

Thank you,

Chris Merrifield
President
