Wire Speakers
The speakers are wired with 16 gauge speaker cable. The speaker
wire runs to an amplifier that I removed from a pair of PC speakers and
mounted inside the cabinet near the computer.

Install Speaker Grilles
The speaker grilles are installed by attaching four screws through the
grille and the speaker behind the panel and securing with nuts. The
face of the screw is painted black with a can of black spray paint to
better blend with the grille.

Insert Coin Door
The coin door is slid through the cutout in the front door and attached
with the mounting hardware that comes with the coin door.

Wire Coin Door
The coin door quarter mechanisms are wired to the keyboard encoder by
grounding one lead on each switch and running a wire from the other lead
on each switch to the terminal block inside the control box.
The lights behind the coin reject buttons are wired to ground and
12V. Light bulbs do not have polarity so it does not matter which
leads are wired so long as one is attached to 12V and the other to
ground. The 12V supply comes from the power terminal block inside the
control box and is provided by the PC power supply. All the wiring is secured inside a spiral cable wrap
and attached to the side panels with wire ties and mounts.

Attach Control Box Brackets
The control box is attached to the cabinet with six steel
L-brackets. The L-brackets are screwed to the 2x4 frame with the
supplied screws. Sticky foam is used to cushion the control box and
to absorb irregularities in the wood to provide a more solid surface for
the control box. The control box is positioned and holes are drilled
through for each of the holes in the L-bracket. Twelve 1/2" x
2" bolts are used to fasten the L-brackets to the control box.
Each bolt uses two washers, one lock-washer, and one hex nut.

Install Monitor Bezel and Lexan
Eight holes are drilled through the Lexan and bezel to accommodate
eight black finish screws. The bezel and Lexan are positioned
against the 1x2 rectangle previously built into the frame and screwed into
place

Attach Control Box to Cabinet
The control box is attached to the arcade with 12 1/4" x 1
1/2" bolts with washers, lock washers and nuts. The cover
between the control panel and the monitor Lexan is a piece of painted
sheet metal that is screwed to the bottom of the control panel. The
edges of the sheet metal are bent in so that they are not sharp.

Insert and Cable Computer
The computer is slid into the lower cavity of the arcade.
The monitor, PS/2 mouse cable, sound card output, and keyboard cable are
attached to the back of the computer. A drive power connector is
attached to the relay in the power strip used for the one step power-on
feature. A second drive power cable is wired to a four position
terminal strip in the control box to provide 12V, 5V, and ground for the
control box and coin door.
