Spearhead a team tasked by Tivoli’s parent, IBM Corporation, with
multiple process re-engineering objectives to attain the corporate
goal of reducing days sales outstanding (DSO) and accounts receivable
balances.
Tasks/Duties :

Facilitated requirements gathering
sessions with users, performed data analysis, documented system/user
requirements, including process flow mapping, definition, and
translation. |

Worked with developers to determine
feasibility of requirements and developed project documentation for
signoff. |
 |
Defined processes
applying standard unified modeling language (UML),
compiled functional specifications,
developed test-case scenarios, and designed and developed custom
information technology resources in SAP. |

Researched IBM’s audit protocols to
ensure the proper placement of business controls. |
 |
Document procedures for information
technology resources, developed root-cause analysis reports,
implemented performance metrics, and designed employee evaluation
methods. |

Performed a variety
of ad hoc project management duties including the development and
management of project plan. |

Results :

Implemented a custom centralized
disputes management module in SAP to track and assist accounts
receivable employees in reducing unpaid customer invoices.

Implemented a customized credit
management module in SAP to conduct new order credit reviews and
facilitate Tivoli’s entry into middle markets while lowering overall
risks. |

Documented procedures for new modules,
developed root-cause analysis reports, ensured proper placement of
business controls, implemented performance metrics, and designed
employee evaluation methods that significantly improved productivity
and reduced staff size by 25%. |

Reduced Tivoli’s aged accounts
receivable by 76% and reduced days sales outstanding from
179 to 97
days. |

Developed and implemented a centralized knowledgebase
to make procedures, process flows, service-level agreements,
separation of duties, performance metrics, and training classes
available to all employees and provide a continuing education program
to enhance employee skills and increase employee retention. |
