Process documentation and
improvement project.
Scope
:
Manage process improvement project,
documenting accounts payable procedures for
the Agency's client server integrated financial system
called the
Integrated Statewide Administrative System (ISAS) created using
PeopleSoft 7.53 software and provide
recommendations for improvement. Work with internal business groups to
create a product that will improve business results and proactively
overhaul business methods.
Tasks/Duties :

Prepared work plan and met with
management and agency staff. |

Scheduled and conducted interviews with
management and staff, review systems environment and functionality,
researched and analyzed processes, and prepared project status
reports. |

Coordinated documentation and
implementation of procedures,
process flows (UML),
and task instructions, and provided
company cost savings and work efficiency improvement recommendations. |
|
Documentation
included the ISAS interfaces with USAS and the agencies use of TINS. |
Results :

Identified
improvement opportunities to save the agency
$272,000
annually. |

Documentation and implementation of
procedures and task instructions to provide the Agency cost savings
and increased work efficiency with some configuration changes to
PeopleSoft 7.53. |
