Nude in the Grass, Mixed media on canvas, 48"W x 36"H, 1991

This mixed media of collage and acrylic/plaster on canvas was completed in the spring of 1991, shortly after the opening of Art Encounter. Nude in the Grass was the 15th piece Rick exhibited at the gallery, and possibly one of its first nudes. Rick used to joke with former gallery owners John & Mary Warrick about the placement of the piece in the gallery - while his space was on the front wall immediately behind the sales desk, Nude in the Grass was placed on the back wall just outside the entrance to the restrooms!
