Based on a photograph in a magazine, Rick's portrait of the "Material Girl" was completed in late 1991 and the painting was hung in his art studio at home.

Madonna was purchased by a gallery client on November 17, 2001.

Music Man was completed toward the end of 1991. The painting was purchased by an Art Encounter client in July, 1992.
