Contemplation, Pen & ink on paper, 34"W x 41"H (nfs)

Contemplation was the first of the pen & inks to be framed. It was never exhibited at Art Encounter, but remained at home. It was always my favorite of the three ink drawings because it reminds me of my paternal grandmother, Bernice Smith Tippit. The character in this piece is also depicted in a 1995 painting that Rick named after his maternal grandmother, Louella.
