Aprilia RST1000 Futura

Installation note for Kisan pathBlazer headlight modulators

From Stef Slamon via the Futura mailing lists Kisan Technologies pathBlazer P115WD-H7* works wonderfully with the Futura after a few of snips with a pair of dikes. For some reason, Aprilia chose to use h4 plugs to connect to their h7 bulbs.  If you try to connect the pathBlazers up the logical way, they won't work.  You need to rotate the power connector 180 degrees and then it will work fine but only after you remove a little plastic tab that's in the way, ans then there will be enough clearance to seat the connector. Lanesplitting has never been so good.  People move out of the way much more often and much sooner now. Two thumbs up. * I received the P115W-D model and the same directions applied... Here's a diagram sent by Kisan tech support in response to my inquiry after I failed to read the words above...! Finally, after just a few times riding, I noticed that my right high-beam was fading, then went black!  It turned out that the slave wire connection was bad.  It seemed to be inserted correctly, but I detached it from the master unit, rotated the wire 180 degrees and re-inserted.  This seemed to fix things.
