INTRODUCTION

Finally a medical program designed by a physician for physicians to easily maintain patient lists and to generate E&M charges for each encounter or procedure... all at the bed side using the PalmPilot™

Sounds very fundamental, doesn't it.  I thought so, but I have yet to find a similar program that performs this fundamental task with the same ease as the Pocket Patient Billing.

This is not an H&P program. Besides, who has the time to enter all that data?   Pocket Patient Billing is a very easy to use PalmPilot™ program utilizing the already well designed database program, HanDBase by DDHSoftware.

Pocket Patient Billing easily allows you to bill multiple procedures (CPT codes) on any given date.  It also gives you the flexibility to specify the ICD-9 codes and diagnosis or if you are like me, you can enter the diagnosis once (as a problem list) and let your coders find the appropriate ICD-9 code to maximize your reimbursement.

Pocket Patient Billing comes with a list of  about 500 diagnoses with the ICD-9 codes.  It also comes with about 100 of the common CPT codes for E & M charges. With Pocket Patient Billing you have the flexibility to add your own codes at the bedside or at your PC at home or in your office.

Get rid of your index cards, you will no longer need them! With Pocket Patient Billing you can keep track of all your patients and easily record the daily E & M Code at the bedside. As part of the HanDBase program, you will have all the flexibility to sort on patient location, for example, or list only the inpatients. You can tell it to show only the inpatients you have not yet rounded on today. Extremely practical!

Pocket Patient Billing excels from all of the other programs in its reporting capabilities.  Unlike most other medical programs, this one come with all of the necessary reports.

Pocket Patient Billing is a Microsoft Access program designed to work with the already popular and powerful  PalmPilot™ dbase program , HanDBase designed by DDH software.  From your computer, you can print a list of all new charges, or generate a list of other charges for a particular time period just to name a few. You can track the number of times you charged a particular CPT code. You can print a rounding list to take with you or to give to the physician taking over the service. There are several other valuable reports already done for you, but if you wish, and if you already have Microsoft Access ® 97 or 2000 you can create your own reports to satisfy your specific needs. 

If you don't have Microsoft access, Pocket Patient Billing comes with a runtime version of Microsoft Access to run the basic program if you don't 

Pocket Patient Billing comes as either an Access 97 or Access 2000 file.  If you don't have Microsoft Access then we can provide a runtime version (included in the cost).  It also comes with HanDBase designed by DDH software.  Installation of both programs is seamless. We took the hassle out of the installation process.
