Our Mission
The McNeil High School Project Graduation Committee is charged with the task of organizing a safe and fun evening of entertainment for Seniors on the night of their graduation.
Project Graduation is an all-night lock-in celebration for seniors only, held at McNeil High School on the night of graduation. Project Graduation originated in Maine in response to the deaths of 12 teenagers in alcohol-related highway crashes. The idea of Project Graduation is spreading across the nation because graduation night and prom night are the two most deadly nights for teenagers. Project Graduation has saved lives in every community where it is held and hundreds of schools in the state of Texas now host these parties.
Our Celebration
Project Graduation 2008 will be held the evening of graduation at McNeil High School. This celebration lasts throughout the night and is packed with food, activities, music, prizes and entertainment! This event provides a fun and safe environment for the graduating seniors in their last social event together.
With a class of over 600 students, this is a huge undertaking of time and money. We estimate a budget of over $40,000 with most of the money going to prizes.
The success of this event is directly related to the number of volunteers working throughout the year toward a common goal. We have committees for fundraising, decorations, food, security, entertainment, prizes and more. Please consider where you can help and contact the appropriate committee chairperson or officer.
