Happy Thanksgiving and Turkey Day!!

We just finished our Thanksgiving meal at the dining facility and it wasn't too bad.  Of course, the turkey (loaf) was nothing like Hilary's at Big Bend and the pecan pie (frozen) doesn't even come close to Mike's, but for here, it was pretty good!!

So, this will be my last email from Iraq to all of you.  I am hopeful that I will be leaving here tomorrow morning.  Weather and flights permitting of course.  I will then be in Kuwait for about 10 days or so before leaving to head back to Texas.

I will have extremely limited access to email there, so I may not be able to send out a group email from there, but I will try to send one out from Ft. Hood, once I am back in Texas.  I am really getting excited and looking forward to being back home.

My thoughts are with you all on this day of Thanksgiving.  I have been very thankful this entire time for all the support, emails and love I have received from everyone back home.  If I haven't said that enough, I want you all to know that not a day goes by that I am not thankful for all my family and friends.  You really have been tremendous in your support while I have been here.  The emails have been wonderful and have brightened my days on more that one occasion!!

So, my thanks to all of you and my best wishes for you all to have a wonderful and safe holiday season.
