Well, once again for those of you who aren't familiar with military talk, what that means  is that I am less than 10 days from leaving Iraq.  Still a two-digit midget until I'm back in Texas though.

Big news.  I have been promoted.  Yippee.  I am now an E8 or Master Sergeant.  I was an E7 or Sergeant First Class (that would be the rank my Dad retired at).  Yep, that's right.  I now outrank my father.  HA HA!!!  Well, since he's retired and my dad, I guess I don't really outrank him, but it was fun to say that!

I am finishing up my work here and then I get to pack up all the stuff I have left here and get ready to go to Kuwait for a week or so.  Then, home to Texas.

I am attaching a few pictures from my promotion ceremony.  COL Brown, our Brigade Commander is the one who pinned me (pinned on my new rank).

Not much else for news here.  Just getting excited about going home.  I hope everyone is doing well.  Thanks again to (here comes a Texas term) all y'all for the packages I've received here.  They were great!
