- What's Happening: Getting Short ...
For those of you who
haven't been around the military, "short" doesn't mean
height! It means getting closer to going home.
And that's me! Less than three weeks left here in Iraq.
Then a week in Kuwait and Texas bound!
Our replacements are arriving daily and it is really crowded
here on Tallil base now. The 48th Infantry Division is
taking over from us. They are out of Georgia and have
actually been here in Iraq for about 6 or 8 months. They
have been up north though and from what they have told us,
they have lost quite a few soldiers. So, this will be a
good change for them.
We have been busy, finishing up our work here, showing our
replacements how things are done here and packing, packing,
packing! I'm attaching some
photos for y'all.
And of course, as usual at the end of a mission, taking
plenty of photos. We had our
group photo taken last week.
I'm attaching that as well. These are all the people that
work in the office that we were attached to when we got
here. They are the S1 (personnel) and S4 (supply/logistics)
group.
Amanda - Thanks so much for my new book!
Maria - Got your box, and I just want you to know, you got
ripped off. According to the bag, there were supposed to be
445 mini tootsie rolls in the bag. There were only 442.
Dad - Patriots vs. Colts, Monday Night Football (Tuesday
morning here), I'll be watching.
Well folks, got to go for now. I actually still have work
to do so time to get it done. I'll email again soon -
BTW Maria - Just kidding about the tootsie rolls, although
you probably wouldn't put it past me to sit here and count
each one!
Take Care - Lotta
