Ever wonder... The bike's RPM at 60MPH/KmH? The bike's engine RPM when cruising down the highway? How will adding a tooth to the rear sprocket effect the top end? What gear ratios are right for the new track? The bike's top end at redline? Is putting on a taller tire a good idea? Wonder no more!
Welcome to GearCalc!

GearCalc has a standard Windows point and click interface that allows you view graphically RPM vs. MPH/KmH for your specific motorcycle gear ratio set up.

KLR valve clearance adjustment just got simpler with ShimCalc.   The "mechanic" inputs the measured clearance, the current shim size and the desired clearance for each valve.  The program outputs the new shims needed, the Kawasaki P/N for the shims needed, and identifies any shims that can be reused.

In addition, ShimCalc has a quick reference screen for factory specs, a notes area (for mileage, date, etc.),  and can provide a printout to bring to your favorite parts person for ordering and maintenance records.

DynoCalc determines horsepower by measuring the time to accelerate and to de-accelerate a known weight, such as a car or motorcycle.  DynoCalc takes the time to de-accelerate the vehicle from a high speed to a low speed and uses this information to establish the drag characteristics on the vehicle; wind, rolling resistance, etc.  DynoCalc also takes the time to accelerate the vehicle from a low speed to a high speed and used this to calculate the force provided by the engine.
DynoCalc uses this information, with the laws of physics, to calculate horsepower.
DynoCalc is best suited to determine and track relative horsepower. For example, how much horsepower is gained from a performance upgrade.
