I am a registered massage therapist in the state of Texas. My number is MT034965. Thank you for coming.
A quick index to the page:
Why massage is good...
There are two types of responses from massage: direct and reflexive.
The direct response occurs due to the treatment of the muscles like flushing toxins from tissue,
enhancing circulation, lengthening muscles and tendons, and restoring flexibility to scar tissue.
The reflexive response is due to signals to the nervous system, which reduce stress, decrease pain,
reduce blood pressure, strengthen the immune system, improve sleep, and can stop muscles spasms.
My current scope of practice
In my practice, I perform Swedish Massage, range-of-motion, stretching, and some
Body Mobilization Techniques in a massage session. I do a full body massage as well as
facial and scalp massage. I can also do foot and chair massage. I work with a drape, so any part of the
body on which I am not currently working will be covered, and the genitals will be covered at all times.
I trained at the Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage. I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
Miscellaneous...
Each referal is worth 25% off your next massage. Gift certificates are available.
Package deals are available after the initial massage.
I generally make appointments from up to 2 months in advance to 1 day in advance.
Payment for a massage appointment is due directly after a the appointment. The first session will take about 10 minutes longer, to allow me to gather a brief background from you and tailor the massage to your needs. I request that you are clean when you come for the massage. I ask that you are not drunk when you come in for a massage. A copy of my code of professional ethics will be supplied upon request.
If at any time before or during the massage you feel uncomfortable, or want the session to stop, the massage will stop, and the payment will be pro-rated. If you are not fully satisfied with the services performed, at my discretion, up to ½ your payment will be refunded. All records of the massages and conversations will be held in confidentiality, unless there are legal or medical reasons to disclose the information.
If you contact me to cancel an appointment less than 24 hours before the massage appointment, you can be charged a $20 fee instead of the session fee, at my discretion. If you need to cancel an appointment before 24 hours before the massage appointment, no fee will be charged to you. If you are 15 minutes or more late to a massage appointment, you can be charged a $15 fee at my discretion, and the time of the massage may be shortened according to my schedule. If you do not show for a massage appointment without an explanation, you can be changed a fee up to 1/2 of the massage session cost. I do not deal with payments by an insurance company, but can make exceptions. I charge a $25 fee for all bounced checks, and the previous massage needs to be paid for before the next session.
