Very young fawns will become limp when picked up, a normal
defense. They usually rest curled with legs tucked under. If
limp/lethargic in an unusual position, further evaluation may be needed...
If the fawn was in dog's mouth
Fawns have very thin hides that dog teeth can easily puncture.
Meticulous examination for punctures on chest and belly is required as
internal organs may be injured!
