My Twelfth Week

My three month evaluation was this week. As you can see my hearing did some more improving. I am able to hear in the extremely high ranges very well. I am having a lot of new breakthroughs in my hearing. Before I was hearing everything, but it was EVERYTHING at one time. Now I am having a lot more separation of sounds. I am finally able to hear the clock on my wall (with pendulum) bong on the hours and half hours - with the tv on! This is great! Some other sounds I can instantly understand are: the beeping of the microwave, babies and children's voices crying, someone dialing the telephone, and the telephone ringing, my friend's car alarm setting, and finally the announcements on the airplane. Sometimes on the television I hear; people closing doors, ringing doorbells, and ringing phones. I always hear their voices but I don't understand what they are saying yet. |
