Ip Sun Black Belt Instructors
Sa Bum Nim Vince Cobalis has 29 years of martial arts experience and
is in charge of the Tukong Moosul Ip Sun program in Austin, Texas. He was
awarded the rank of 4th Dan from Grandmaster Wonik Yi. Currently, He teaches
classes at Casa De Luz in Austin and periodically at the University of Texas
at Austin Informal Classes.
Sa Bum Nim Jeff Poehlman has been studying the Martial Arts and Yoga
since the age of 15. He has been teaching Korean Shaolin Ip Sun Tai Chi
for more than nine years and currently holds a Third Degree Black Belt in
the style from his training with Grandmaster Wonik Yi. Jeff emphasizes relaxation
and fluidity in his teaching and focuses on self-defense and other practical
applications of Tai Chi.
Sa Bum Nim Nell Newton serves as one of the Austin Ip Sun program's
head instructors.
Kyo So Nim Jerry Moore, formerly with the Austin Ip Sun program, now
teaches in Odessa, Texas.
Kyo So Nim Jobe Smith recently received his Second Degree Black Belt
in Ip Sun and is a newly qualified instructor.
