Their payments for LAB WORK are--> * AWFUL!
---CURRENT RECOMMENDATION---
THEIR OFFICE VISIT REIMBURSEMENTS ARE LOUSY, AND THEIR LAB PAYMENTS ARE SO LOW THAT THEY ARE BELOW OUR COST!!! DOCTORS SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE FOR SURE -- IT'S A REAL MONEY-LOSER.

The ValueLine Investment Survey (Medical Services Industry) reports that United HealthCare grew their profits from $500 million in 1995 to $17 BILLION in 1998! ValueLine's conclusion: "Further United HealthCare enrollment growth, steady price increases, and cost containment techniques will likely fuel 20% earnings gains over the next several years. Although the stock is up over 40% since our January report, we are still projecting superior capital appreciation for these shares over the three to five year pull."

THEY'RE GENERATING ALL THOSE PROFITS ON THE BACKS OF THE DOCTORS WHO ARE ACTUALLY DOING ALL THE WORK.

Any doctor who is still taking care of United HealthCare patients
for their absurdly low fees is NUTS and deserves to lose his shirt.

9/12/97 First there was Travelers, and they paid lousy. And there was also MetLife which also paid lousy. Then the two of them merged to become MetraHealth which also paid lousy. Now MetraHealth has been acquired by United Health Care which also pays lousy. DO WE SEE A PATTERN HERE? Look at the numbers! Any doctor who takes on any of these patients has lost his senses! Any patient who signs up for this insurance is going to find it very difficult to find a good doctor who'll accept him.
