The Texas Police Reform Center was conceived, edited, and produced by Scott Henson, a former investigative reporter and professional researcher in Austin, Texas, with occasional contributions from volunteer researchers. All statements are the opinions of the author. While Henson is also director of the ACLU of Texas Police Accountability Project, this page predates that work and is not affiliated with any organization or group, but represents the private political activism of one individual, with whom all responsibility lies for its content.
The web site began in July 1998 as the Austin Police Department Hall of Shame.
